Well, who would have thought that naming our writers group would bring out so many opinions. Ah . . . writers! It's all good. Honestly, I sort of cannot believe that we have met for over 15 years now and have remained nameless. The day has come however, that we shall forever be known as the um . . . hold on . . .

From Sandee: About the word "inkling" ... which means, a hint at, a slight indication or suggestion, clue, a slight knowledge or vague notion ... which is what CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien gave each other about their writings as they walked along Addison Walk. They gave each other inklings, or as we call them today ... critiques. I've walked down Addison Walk (which is beautiful) around the Magdalen College, Oxford, and hoped that some of their inklings that they shared would be hovering around and fall down on me :) I have some rocks that I collected from Addison as a remembrance of that special time. FYI, I also sat in CS Lewis' chair, at his desk, in his home, looking out his window onto his English garden hoping waves of his writings would penetrate my pee-brain !!!!
Also, Muriel is a little worried that Scribes has a sort of anti Jesus movement behind it. Am I missing something? In any case, I'm guessing we are not done with the name calling . . . I mean coming up with a new name for the group.
Book Release
From Inkling Sandra Schoger Foster comes a new book. Daddy, Will You Play Catch with Me? is a life cycle book about a father and son who create loving and lasting memories with a glove, a ball, and sometimes a bat. And when the father is old, the son still loves to play catch with him.
